9 Months

We can hardly believe that Abigail's arrival is just around the corner. We are going to weekly appointments at the doctor now. Today we had a good visit, she is head down, which is better than two weeks ago, she was breech. Everything is still normal and we are on track for a natural delivery! We will keep you posted with any progress in the next few weeks.

First Edition A. A. Milne

Adam got me the nicest gift for having his baby! You may or may not know but I love Winnie The Pooh, hence the theme for the nursery. Through our dating and married life Adam has gotten me many Pooh things but this takes the cake for sure. He found a First Edition of Winnie The Pooh, Copy Right 1926, By: E. P. Dutton & Company. It is in great condition and has a beautiful cover. It is in the nursery right now in the hands of Christopher Robin but as soon as Abby can crawl that book will have to leave to a more secure place. :)

Adam I LOVE the book, I know you put a lot of thought into such an original gift. You are going to be a great daddy, can't wait to be a family of three. I love you more everyday!

Winnie The Pooh

The last few weeks we have been working on getting Abigail's nursery all put together. Our furniture finally arrived and our good friends Jeff and Tricia went and picked it up in their truck for us.

Like any good dad would, Adam read the directions on how to put the crib together before he started.

Adam has worked really hard at assembling all of the furniture and gadgets that come along with having a new baby. Abby is lucky to have a dad that is so handy!

I basically did the "fluff" work and added a decorators touch.

Soooooo many parts!

Here is the finished product. We really think the nursery is calm and soothing, hope Abby thinks so too. :)

My Grandma Carol made the yellow and green blankets on the dresser.

Adam's mom cross stitched the picture on the wall when she was pregnant with Adam.

Adam's Aunt Jennie made this quilt on the wall for Abigail.

Every girls dream closet! She will be a stylin' baby for sure.

SC Baby Shower

On January 31st our friends here in South Carolina had a baby shower for us. Abigail and I had a really nice time chatting with friends and eating good food. We got a lot really nice gifts that helped us get the nursery together and prepare for Abigail's upcoming arrival.

Adam's Grandma Betty was able to come from North Carolina for the shower too, it was nice to have one of Abby's Great Grandma's there to celebrate with us!
To all the ladies who put the shower together, I can't thank you enough. I had a really nice time and consider it a blessing to have friends like you.
